She started off as a random sketch with just one idea in mind, make a female character with really dope hair. I decided on doing locs, since I think locs are super easy to style into various looks. I wanted her to have a very relaxed attitude, and have cool clothing lol. I am AWFUL at clothing. So she still needs to level up in that department.

So for me, a lot of the personality, or attitude comes from the eyes, so I spent a rather large space of time trying to create expression from the eyes. I read online somewhere that if you want the character to be cute you should make the pupils (and overall eye shape) rather large, and if you want the character to look more serious, give them a much smaller pupil and smaller eye. I wasnt sure if it would make a difference since my preference when drawing eyes are usually pretty large. So she ended up being a mixture of cute with a mysterious attitude. (Large e eye, small pupil) Then I fooled around with color and design for a few hours until I loved it.
